The Rx is written, the patient says “I’ll come back”, and the sale walks out of the door. Oyadesk prints the Rx, opens the optical order, and counts the frames on the shelf, so the pair is ready before they forget.

Our story

“Build me a system.”

One of our clinic owners. She was tired of losing the patients we had sent her.

For two years we did one job: fill eye clinics with patients. 100 clinics. 45,000+ appointments booked. Nearly ₦1 billion in revenue for clinic owners. But getting the patient through the door is only the first step. After that, the money leaks. Only one in three booked patients shows up. Of those, fewer than one in three buys. Follow ups are never called. HMO claims are filed late, or not at all. At month end, most owners cannot tell you what they made, because nobody was counting.

We had seen this across 100 clinics. Paper files. Notebooks. Google Sheets. A few used real software, but it was built abroad for someone else’s problems, then sold to clinics here. Insurance codes, not HMOs. Records, not revenue. So when she asked, we built it.

Oyadesk runs the whole clinic, and it is built by people whose job has always been one thing: helping clinics make more money. We started with eye clinics, because that is where we have spent our years. We are building it for every clinic.

Is it only for eye clinics?

For now, yes. We built Oyadesk with eye clinics because that is where we have spent our years. The eye exam, the glasses and the optical shop are built in. We are building it for every clinic.

Does it handle HMOs?

Yes. A bill can be split between an HMO like Hygeia, AXA Mansard or Reliance and the patient. Each claim is tracked, and the owner can see what each HMO still owes.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is being set with our first clinics. Ask us and we will tell you where it stands.

Can staff use it on a phone?

Yes. Oyadesk runs in the browser, so it works on a phone, a tablet or a laptop. The front desk can check patients in from a phone while the doctor uses the laptop in the exam room.

Is our patient data safe?

An encrypted backup is taken every day. Each staff member sees only what their role allows. A signed exam cannot be quietly changed. The details are in our privacy policy.
